Is it easier to make your own MySpace graphics or get them off a site?

Logic would state that it's always easier to get ready made MySpace graphics from a site rather than taking the time and making the effort of creating your own graphics. However, there are caveats to that statement which will perhaps temper the emphatic answer. The first has to do with the complexity of the graphics you want on your Myspace page. Simple graphics are quite common, but because they can be found virtually everywhere, they are used often enough that they aren't fresh and interesting, just commonplace.

If you go for a more complex graphic, not only will it be more difficult to find on the internet, perhaps even impossible to find exactly what you're looking for, but it will also be more difficult for you to create. However, if you like the challenge of doing things for yourself, and if your graphics skills are able to handle the creation of the finished product, you probably won't care how complex the design is.

The down side might be that you wouldn't be able to find just the right graphic image on the web site and wouldn't have the skills or experience to create what you want either. In this situation you could always ask for help for someone more experienced in the field.

In reviewing the various graphics sites that are available on the internet, you may very well find an idea that isn't quite what you thought you wanted, but it may spark another idea that will allow you to create something entirely different but better than your original plan.

Graphics help to liven up and site and effectively used can create interest, excitement as well setting a mood or theme for the site. Graphics used solely because the creator of the site doesn't like white space and so does everything possible to fill up space is neither artistic nor creative. The same thing is true of animated graphics. One of those goes a long way in livening up a site and you may want to seriously consider whether the animated graphics sets the tone that you desire for your site.
